Batching a Schedule

Copy a schedule out for an entire season using our batching feature.

Creating a New Schedule

From the main window, click the Schedule tab.

  1. Click the New Schedule button from the menu bar or click File > New Schedule.
  2. Enter a Title for the schedule, such as Flight #102.
  3. Select a Segment, such as Scheduled Service/#102.  This assists employees when searching for availability and combines similar schedules for reporting.
  4. Select a Equipment, such as Aircraft #XYZ.  Note that each equipment can set-up to automatically update the classes with pre-defined values.
  5. Select a Status, such as On Time.
  6. Optional. Set the Internal and Web advisories.  The Internal advisory displays to agents in the Find Schedules window inside the Booking Agent and the Web advisory will display to customers in the online bookings.
  7. Click on the Connections tab.
  8. Click Add.
    1. Select a Departure location, such as Seattle (SEA).
    2. Enter the departure date and time.
    3. Select an Arrival location, such as Los Angeles (LAX).
    4. Enter the arrival date and time.
    5. Click OK.
    6. For additional legs, click Add and repeat the steps.
  9. Click the Classes tab.
  10. Optional. Check the Weight Limit and enter a maximum combined weight. This may be required for businesses with weight allocations, such as airlines.
  11. Optional. Click Set Defaults to update the classes with the defaults from the current Equipment.
  12. Click Add.
    1. Select a Class from the drop-down list.
    2. Optional. Set the Limit Locks to the number of total available spaces. This is generally the number of seats.
    3. Optional. Set the Minimum Web Locks to ensure there is enough space when customers make booking requests.
    4. Set the Booking Options for Internal (from Find Schedules) and the Web.


      Option Description
      Yes New bookings can be made on this class.
      View This class is viewable, but it will not accept new bookings.
      No This class is hidden from view.

       

    5. Click the Weights tab.
    6. Optional. Set the Base Weight to the starting weight for this class.  This value can be applied when an initial weight is required.
    7. Optional. Set the Weight Limit to the total weight, if applicable, allowed in this class.
    8. Click OK.
    9. For additional classes, click Add and repeat the steps.
  13. Click the Routes tab.
  14. Click Add.
    1. Select the Departure location.
    2. Select the Arrival location.
    3. Click Create.
    4. For additional routes, click Add and repeat the steps.
  15. Select a route and click Edit to over-ride the booking options and set-up the fares.
  16. Select a class.
  17. Optional. Click Advanced to over-ride the booking options as described above.
  18. Optional. Click Fares.
    1. Click AddNote: Fare groups can be configured from Booking Agent > Tools > Accounting > Fares.
    2. Select a Fare group.
    3. Optional. Mark the selected fare as Set as default fare for this class on this route.
    4. Click Next.
    5. Select <New Item> or an existing fare definition and click Next.
    6. Click Add to add the appropriate inventory items.
    7. Optional. Set Billing Options for Activation Date, Expiration Date and Booking Options.  By using the activation and expiration dates, early bird pricing can be set-up.
    8. Click Finish.
    9. For additional fares, click Add and repeat the steps.
  19. Click Close on the class properties window.
  20. Click Close on the route configuration window.
  21. Optional. Click the Billing tab.
  22. Most schedules are based on individual bookings, by clicking Add an invoice is create and tied to the schedule.  This can be useful when billing one customer for a charter.  The billing icon will be displayed on the Check In window.
  23. Click OK to save and close.
