When a booking is entered or updated two checks are performed to make sure there is space available in the schedule.
Examples:
All classes in this example would allow up to their full class weight limit and there would be no over-lap:
| Class | Locks Limit | Weight Limit |
| Passengers | 10 | 500 |
| Luggage | (Unlimited) | 100 |
| Freight | (Unlimited) | 50 |
| Equipment Weight Limit | 650 | |
The classes in this example could potentially over-lap or "bleed" into the other classes:
| Class | Locks Limit | Weight Limit |
| Passengers | 10 | (Unlimited) |
| Luggage | (Unlimited) | 100 |
| Freight | (Unlimited) | 50 |
| Equipment Weight Limit | 650 | |
In this example, the maximum weight that could be booked in the Passenger class is 650, due to the Equipment Weight Limit, even though the class itself has been marked with an Unlimited Weight Limit. If the Passengers class was fully booked (650), there would be no room left for either the Freight or Baggage classes.
On the other hand, if the Freight and Baggage classes were booked to their full weights limits (50 + 100 = 150), the Passenger class would automatically be limited to 500. Even through there is Unlimited Weight Limit for the Passenger class, the Equipment Weight Limit effectively limits the bookings in this class.
The weight standard is determined by the Company's configuration.
